Did not read all replies, but did anyone mention that selector switch and mess up and start putting some fuel into the other tank? Mine did and went to the point it was over filling itself.
This could also explain less than adequate economy numbers or of course if the axle ratio versus speedo is incorrect.

It was diesel from my white tank at my ranch and I dont know the exact time it was filled. I am proprobly going to end up draining it because it may have had red diesel in it fairly recently and I dont want a ticket for some bs. Thank you for the suggestion.

silly question, but are you sure you filled up the correct tank? are you sure it was actually full when you started the 30 mile trip? fill up the tanks, drive a couple hundred miles (after an oil change) and check your mileage. i bet it is way better than 7.9. have fun! great starter truck

I will look into the breaks and do the calculations again, after I finish my deep deep clean. Thank You for the advice.

Mine did, took side tank and pumped into rear. I think it is in my build thread. Selector valve? Whatever it is called on the frame.
Yep, common on gassers too. I think the dual pump trucks are more prone.
