So I’ve been having transmission problems and finally narrowed it down to a bad speedometer. It would go into limp mode and not want to shift but if I banged on the speedometer it would go back to normal. Sounds weird I know. And now today it went into limp mode again but hitting the speedometer wasn’t fixing it and the transmission started slamming gears really hard. I pulled into a parking lot and hooked up my scanner and a huge list of codes came up which I’ll add pictures of. The VSS code has always been there which is my speedometer problem but I’ve never seen any of these other codes before. I googled some of them and most of them said it was a problem with the PCM receiving a bad signal. Also last night I installed subs in my truck which I think is just a coincidence but maybe somehow it’s messing with the electrical system or fried something? If anyone knows more about these codes and diagnosing things please help
I'm having a similar problem . I finally hooked up my scanner . Too many codes to read . I Cleared them & for a week or so my problem is gone . Scanner still monitored every day .
