help

my truck isn't a ford but i am only 16 and need help.
My 79 gmc won't start in park but will start in drive what is wrong?? please help thanx

the neutral saftey switch just needs to be adjusted dont know how to do it on a chevy though

First I would like to thank jesse460 for that and I will check into that. For 1982ford100 Believe me if I could afford a ford I would get one because I am a ford man myself. But I am only 16 and thia is my first truck Can't get what I want right away. But I am looking into a 56 ford.
