Cheers everyone, when I purchased my 54, all of the small parts were removed and tagged and honestly, this being my first hydraulic clutch system, I am completely confused as to what goes where. I thought I had purchased all the manuals needed for assembly and have read hundreds of forums. MY QUESTION: does anyone here have pictures or a diagram of how to install the system correctly? Thank you
Many thanks Steve! Is there a book/manual I can purchase this illustrates this? I thought I had purchased them all.. Again, you’re a life saver..
As a follow up, I assumed incorrectly, I guess, that the part in the photos went to the clutch system. That begs another question, if it’s not original to the truck, what might it be..
Thought this was part of the clutch system. The package it came in read, “front frame near the hood latch.. German part numbers..
The item shown would be a "slave" cylinder. My guess is, that the previous owner was planning a swing clutch pedal using a hydraulic connection instead of the original mechanical clutch system. That slave cylinder would be used to move the part shown, 7515.
Obviously my learning curve is still somewhat vertical on these old trucks.. Thank you for reaching out. I’ve started a build thread, but have been away due to health and a home remodel. I should be active again very soon. Thank you.
