Replaced all 3 pumps last year. Now it is only getting 10 psi on fuel rail. I put a Bosch pump on it in hopes it would last. Delphi in both tanks.
What would do me better for the hi pressure pump.
Thanks in advance Ken
If you pull the line off the top of the FPR and gas comes out its bad, but if you're cycling the key 6 or 7 times it's probably one of the pumps. Now uf it runs the same on both tanks then its probably either the high pressure pump or possibly the fuel filter on the frame could be clogged up.
I assume you replaced the fuel filter when you did all the pumps?
yes, put a new fuel filter in at the same time..
When it gets the pressure on the fuel rail it does hold it. That's what makes me think it is a pump issue.

And you're probably correct. The in tank pumps put out around 6 or 7 psi. For the high pressure pump, key on engine off fuel pressure is 35-45 PSI. Spec for running fuel pressure is 30-40 PSI. I've heard some say it should be 45 - 60psi, but I think that's way too high for these older models.
What you could do to make sure that there's not a blockage is to pull the fuel line off the out side of the HP pump, put your gauge on the pump and see what it reads.
Got it figured out, both in tank pumps are not running. From searching FTE. Learned how to pull in the fuel pump relay, then unplugged the pump on the flame. Neither in tank pumps would run. Switched from tank to tank and hit the both of tanks, but to no use.
So I'm guessing that the hi pressure pump was pulling fuel from the tank, and giving me the 10 psi, but couldn't pull and deliver 30 psi.
This is a great forum.
