Morning folks. 2002 7.3 w/ automatic. Did a couple major jobs and now I’m having issues. Oil pan popped a leak, so we pulled it to install a moroso pan & gasket. While we had it up, pulled all the body mounts for new S&B mounts (the 2 under the foot wells are kicking my *** but different thread). Also pulled turbo and pedestal for more room. Put a new wheel and pedestal in for the EBV delete. Truck will now fire, but quickly goes into a lope and dies a few seconds later. I don’t even know where to start. I plan on throwing forscan at it to get a read on oil pressure in the morning.
Fuel pump wiring all good? Did you disconnect any or all of those 3 largeish square plugs back by the drives firewall on the inner fender? I know one of them has the transmission harness stuff, I believe one is tail lights and trailer tow stuff and the fuel pump is in the mix somewhere in there. I've had problems myself with connections to the transmission and traced it to one of those plugs. If the fuel pump is working properly then I'd be double checking sensor connectors. Any chance you swapped the IPR and EBPV connectors? I know they will interchange but not sure it would start like that.

that’s where my concern is that old girl still starts. To me that means the injectors are getting enough oil and fuel to start but not continually getting enough to run. I didn’t mess with anything except the plugs for the spider in front of the turbo.

How far up did you have to lift the cab to replace the mounts? I'm wondering if something got pulled a little too hard, and you need to go back and review everything regarding that part of the job.
I have no idea what a hutch mod is and I assume so since it started a couple different times
The fuel pump should cycle for about 20 seconds when the key is turned to run. You should be able to hear it once all the dinging and buzzing stops. If not then may want to get down there and verify it's working. These engines will run with little or no pressure, just not well. The Hutch mod is a fix for the factory fuel pick up foot in the tank that is notorious for deteriorating and falling off. The truck will behave like it's out of fuel when there is still a 1/4 or so still showing on the gauge. If it hasn't been done yet I would put it on your list. You can try adding 5 or so gallons of fuel to raise the level above the foot.
Update: found my issue a plug had come off what I believe is a fuel control item. It’s the circular item behind the fuel filters with a bunch of connectors coming off the top

I’m glad you’ve got it fixed. I can’t quite figure out which part was disconnected. Any way you could share a photo?
