Radiator Upper Bracket Removal and Reinstall (Any Tricks?)
I need to replace the small hose that goes between the degas overflow and upper radiator and noticed I need to remove the upper bracket holding the radiator to get to the clamp underneath. There are rubber “grommets” that go into the bracket from the radiator. Is there any special trick to this removal and reinstall process?

The rubber grommets are there for cushion only so its not metal on plastic. It doesn't hold fluid if that's what your concern is. It's pretty straight forward 8mm (I think) bolt to remove. I think just the passenger side needs removed to expose the clamp. I fought with a leak there on my Excursion. Replaced hose and then ultimately the clamp as well to completely seal it up good.

When I was installing a second positive battery cable from the driver side to the passenger side, I followed the route of the OEM battery cable and had to remove the brackets. As others have said, quite simple to remove the bolts and then the bracket. I found removing the tool tray (large plastic piece) was more difficult as the plastic fasteners were quite difficult to remove without breaking or damaging them.
You will do great, just take your time and keep track of what you remove from where.

What you see as the crossed end (inside the grommet you pictures) is the top of the post which is an extended post which was molded as part of the top plastic radiator cap. Once the bolts are out, the bracket simply lifts off that post (might need to wiggle it a little to get it up and off).
