Transmission/Flexplate

I am putting together a street rod running a 2004 Lincoln Aviator 4,6 DOHC. I am running a 4R70W transmission from a 4.6 truck. The Aviator came with a 5R55 transmission. My question is I have the flexplate from the Aviator. Now that I have it in I am questioning if I should have bought a flexplate for the truck transmission. It bolted up fine and I will check for the freeplay on the converter to ensure its not hard against the pump. Just trying to get other opinions. Keep the flexplate matched to the trans/torque converter?
