There have been, and continue to be all kinds of backyard machinists and mechanics doing all kinds of things that the factory never did. If you poke around here with the guys that like the 300-6's there's all kinds of rumours of guys adapting Windsor and LS heads to the 300 for various reasons. They might even work, although I really haven't seen many of them run.
Yet I've been blasted several times for taking the 302 out of my 94 F150 and replacing it with a 351...with a light cam...GT40S....and best of all,replacing the computerized fuel injection with a high rise intake and 800 Edelbrock with MSD ignition
