Power Locks not working

key fob stopped working on my 1997 XLT 7.3. I changed the battery in both of my remotes and even tried going under the dash and jumping the locks through the connector - and the locks work, even with the door buttons on both sides, just not with the remote.

has anyone ever run into this?

Just a Wag . Most likely a broken wire from the L front door to the A pillar .

Especially if crew cab.
That was the big issue with the rear doors.

But from what i can tell, even the front doors over time can have this issue, my passenger door has some weird stuff going on.
