Need PCV help!

2002 Ex V10... Pretty sure the PCV is bad and I ordered a new one and its just the PCV part. The bad one in the Ex has a heat coil around it and i can't remove the PCV from the heat coil is there an actual part # for that type of PCV or can I bypass the heat coil? I just cleaned the old one up for now and hope it functions OK doesn't seem to be stuck but it was pretty dirty and had alot of oil on it.

Any answers or solutions will be appreciated.

I guess it depends on your location. The heat lines were there to prevent frost build up in the lines during winter. Is frost an issue for your location? The heat lines just pop off once the small metal retainer is pried off. It should come off pretty easily.

Ya located in Nebraska it gets hot and cold. I found the correct replacement part 700% increase in price compared to one without heat lines im going to try and pry off and reinsert on the $7 one I have.
