I have a 2003 V10 X with 137,XXX and was looking around the engine bay and I think this is the PCV valve. I see that there are two different ones, which one do I need? Also I need to replace the hose too, this is the label off the hose.
Also checked the oil and had to add 2.5qts. It has 4,200 miles since last oil change. Is that a lot or normal?
I have read that the PCV valve could be causing the oil usage/burning.
Thanks

The stupid part is the pcv valve hose is only available as an assembly that includes the two water hoses and clip that heat the PCV.
2.5 quarts isn't too bad in 4200 miles.
However I just changed my OEM original PCV and have noticed a significant decrease in oil consumption.
Go with a OEM PCV as one I bought from advance auto did not have the same properties as the oem.
I would suggest changing pcv every 50k miles, as it only costs about $8.
I think the pcv is a much neglected maintenance item.
Your pcv is the cheap one, that is chrome.
However YL3Z-6C324-B may work. It's an updated part # that I think includes the hose and PCV. I am skeptical as the pcv that comes with it is plastic and not sure the clip and heater clip will fit.
The part you need is YC3Z-6C324-EA I think.
Ebay oem is about $60 with pcv valve, clip, and all 3 hoses.
