if still have issue, harbor freight has those little air pump bladders for moving things. if you can position something to like the frame and use that to slowly and carefully put pressure you could tap around the perimeter

Use of a paper gasket is all that's needed here.

Application of RTV to seal up the China walls on a lower manifold installation is entirely different.

Agree. Sealing the lower intake where oil is present is completely different than sealing the upper and lower manifolds where there is only air and some oil mist from the pcv system.
