removing intake manifold

Any suggestions for removing the intake manifold on my 72 429. I am tearing it down to see what I have. I am sure all the bolts are out. I have the engine sitting on th floor. I have a chain attached to the intake and am pring it up with an 8 foot 2x4. I can move the motor around but the intake will not break loose. The motor has never been rebuilt so I am assuming the intake has never been off. I dont really want to pry at the surface. Man that thing is stuck. Any ideas

what i did to remove the intake from my 351m was got a cherry picker and pulled it while it was still in the car. other than a chain on a cherry picker and a pry bar, i dunno what else to tell you. try tapping like a chisle inbetween the manifold and the block. good luck man

Appreciate the reply. My friend has our hoist in the back of his garage. I ll go over and get it tonight. I just was not expecting the intake to be such a PIA to get off.
