I wired my aftermarket alarm "brain" into the PDL connector inside the driver's side B-Pillar at its base. Obtain whatever alarm you want to use and plan the installation based upon its schematic. I would advise trying to find a factory EVTM or book of wiring diagrams---those have been invaluable for me, have owned one for each of the 4 different E-Series I've owned. Unfortunately they are becoming in short supply, those on my go-to source eBay are moving upwards price wise BUT they're no longer in print so the price is the price.
Here's one I found not outrageously price but I'd contact the seller to be certain its a Ford authorized manual: 2003 EVTM Alternately you MIGHT have good lucking using an EVTM from 2002 or 2004 but these tend to be very year specific---Ford is know to change things from year to year especially electrically. I highly recommend having one of these.
Hope this helps!
Thank you very much, i will look into it!
Just so I can have an idea, how does the PDL connector look like?

Get the manual if you intend to do this sort of work in the future. There is more than enough information to locate the connector as shown in the schematic and where it is physically located in or on the van body.
The one I tie into is a black connector with 12 cavities, 2 rows of six one on top of the others, some may not have wires in them---it will be a pair linked together and can be separated.
JWA, is that B-pillar connector pair in all vans with power locks or only those with factory RKE? What’s the path of that harness from the dash to the B-pillar - over the door or along the floor?

It's been so long since I retrofitted a van not originally equipped with PDL's (2000 E-250 regular body) so cannot say one way or the other if its just part of a typical E-Series body. It would be possible to have PDL's without RKE as that was an option.
For my subsequent E-Series (2003, 2005) each had PDL's, the 2003 with RKE. When I added PDL to my 2000 E-250 I harvested connectors etc from a 1997 so ran the wiring from the A-Pillar openings near the E-Brake pedal under the kick plate exiting near the base of the B-Pillar. There is also a factory wiring harness running from the master switch on the driver's door running behind the dash board with connectors to add the passenger side wiring to the front, side and rear doors. There is also a factory switch in the passenger side rear door.
