thats what I think.....run a second circut to another horn system.....leave the OEM in tack......hen they cut the OEM...the new parallel circut will still be there....a loug train horn would be nice.
this is a diagram for 15/16 not sure if it applies to all recent years.
You need the siren or train horn to go off when the OEM wire is cut. If that doesn't happen they will continue to do further damage thinking they have deactivated the alarm. Even if that produces a train horn, better to prevent the damage.
For years I have been leaving my doors unlocked, if they want to get it just open the door and take what you want with out all the damage. Nothing in my truck worth taking (but they don't know that).. Insurance will compensate me for what is done, but I won't have the mess of broken glass, etc. Sorry for your situation, it really sucks especially after three times.
I had a friend that had a laptop and Nikon Camera and Lenses taken from their car at their kids practice, and her car was unlocked. Their insurance refused to pay since the car was unlocked. 4 other cars in the parking lot had windows busted out and stuff taken, and they told the insurance that, and was in the police report.
I rarely lock my truck, but leave nothing of value in it.

Simple solution here is to tell the police to write down that the door WAS LOCKED
Pretty stupid of Ford to put the horn where it can be disabled so easily. Did they not even try to steal the truck?
I agree completely. I was able to reconnect the wires without even opening the hood or removing the grill. I will be doing some horn rewiring to ensure they can't do that again.

Agreed. They didn't even try to steal the truck. Just looking for something to steal to make a few buck off of. This was the most professional job of the three so far. They disconnected the horn before breaking the glass and opening the door. No alarm to alert anyone.

I have a 2021 SD Lariat and the lock can not be pulled up or the interior button used to unlock it once locked by the key fob.
I got locked out of my truck in the first week of ownership. I did not know the code but by habit jumped out and hit those two little buttons. Both fobs in truck, wallet in truck, phone in truck.
Police couldn’t open and then locksmith couldn’t open using normal methods. Finally he asked where my key fobs were and had to use magic to hook a fob from the front console. I was so relieved and he was impressed on hard it was to break into the new trucks.
Great guy. Wouldn’t take my money and said thanks for the puzzle.
So I don’t know if something has changed from 2017 to 2021 or if it’s because you didn’t use the bottom two buttons?
Sorry for trouble.
Thanks. I hope that Ford has fixed how easy it is to break into these trucks. It is truly unbelievable what has to be done to get into them initially.

Ford Pass has not worked for my truck for the last 3 or 4 months and I deleted it from my phone. The last time it worked, all it would show me was local dealers and oil life. Now it won't even show oil life so the app does me no good. I don't have the Connect system on this truck so I'm figuring that's why nothing worked properly. No mileage, no tire pressure, nothing.

No, the truck wasn't running. And I used the button on the door handle to lock the doors just like I always do.

This is fine except they didn't cut the wires, just disconnected them.

Unfortunately, no. The manager was standing there when I was talking to the police operator and the operator asked if any firearms were in the truck. I told her "No, I don't leave them in the truck" and the manager looked at me kind of funny like. If I had left it in the truck, I do have a Console Vault in the center console to lock it in. They didn't even open that up.
I'm still waiting on the insurance company to call me back, but looking at the door panel, the window trim and track and the glass, it looks like it's going to be about $800 in parts alone plus labor. Hopefully I'll get enough to cover all of it and save some money doing it myself.

The question about the truck running was to another poster. He had mentioned his dogs set off the alarm. Which to me means that he locked the door with the keypad.
The keypad part of the question is in reference to the anti-theft system. My truck can absolutely not be broken into by pulling the lock up. Yes I know we have different model years, just more curious if maybe Ford changed the anti-theft or was too stupid to activate it via the handle. Just thinking out loud.
I recently took in an exotic sports car for an oil change and someone took it on a joy ride and ****ed up the transmission (and probably other stuff). Its getting hard to have nice stuff.

Good thing you’re ready to defend yourself, law enforcement has it’s hands tied and they may or may not protect you.
The “got aways” are unable to travel much and reside in these sanctuary cities near the border. They avoid checking in because most of them are k known criminals.
