Dieseling problem.

Did a tune up and rebuilt the carb on my truck 74 F100, 77 351M a few weeks ago. It's still running fine , but now it'll diesel sometimes when I shut it off. Where should I start looking? What can cause dieseling?

The cause of "run on" or "dieseling" is the idle is to fast or too lean, check the idle rpm and if it is within specs, then richen up your idle screws a bit, and try it again.

Thanks Guys, The timing was OK but the distributor has some slop in it, so I'm going to try a new one. But I also think I had it a little to lean, I richened it up and reset the idle. See what happens.
