Ordered replacement antenna mast from DC and not right for my application, Not sure if this is still factory or not, but wondering what replacement mast would work. Thanks!

Why not just replace the entire antenna?

Not doing a restoration. Seems like a PITA to change the $100 antenna assembly when only the mast is broken. Cable still good.

If it weren't $90+ it would be a no brainer. Break that and it'll make you cry again.

The one you have I assume the black portion is held on with the two set screws but your mast looks like it should thread into something, not around something. Looks like a mismatch there.

I have seen some with a coil spring at the base of the mast and it slides over the nub of yours before you put on the black extension you have. An Allen screw or two holds it on. You can see that aftermarket replacement antenna mast in this thread. Looking from the front view might be the best but one side view also shows it. My one truck had one just like it on when I bought it. Might be tough to find one of these any longer, but maybe not.

I believe you can use one of these if you reuse your base. 1960-64 Ford Galaxie Replacement Antenna - Front Fender – Retro Manufacturing

The retro sound chrome base doesn't have the correct contour to fit the cowl, "unless they have redesigned them".

I did find what I believe to be the older replacement mast like I'd mentioned before. Looks like about $20 give or take with shipping. Looks like 2 allen set screws on this one which I think the one that came on my truck had, too. The only downside to them that I had was the coil spring tends to rust if exposed to the elements.

This one a little different but probably would work as well and only $14 with free shipping.

Nice work Chad!!! I have been looking all over for one also, and I too purchase the DC and sent it back. I find the DC return policy unfriendly.

I just purchased the cheaper one you showed to see if I could get my radio to work. I will post the results. I am probably going to need to fab up some kind of ground for the base because my base had a little tang for a ground and it looks like it might not hold tight for a good ground.

There is one NOS one on eBay, but it is, to me, too dear of an asking price - 300.00 But I’m a patient man, I bought an NOS one two years ago for under 100.00. They do come up regularly.

Some years back RearCounter allowed vendors to start listing Reproduction parts as well as NOS parts. The 446 that Carpenter shows are the ones they make that cost about $100 or so linked to previously above. The other 2 - Rockport Indiana is Will McDonald Obsolete Parts and that's likely the one iBuzz linked to for sale on eBay in his post above for $300. The other one in Nashville, GA is Michael and he tends to never update his inventory so he may or may not have the one in stock.
