Trans issues
F-450 2000 model 4x2, 147k miles. I’ve had it for years, the trans has always had slow engagement when first started but worked fine after it engaged. Today it started to shutter when taking off, I even tried it in 2Nd gear and it did the same. After 10 minutes driving it would rev to 3k rpm and start to move. I parked it after that. I imagine converter is going out. My question do I need a trans from a f450 or will f250 or f350 trans work in it? Rebuilding it will cost around $3000 which is way out my budget. Any ideas on a cheap alternative. Thanks a million
