If you are talking about performance upgrades to the whole vehicle, it is true that for the last few years GM ECM's have been encrypted which makes it all but impossible for aftermarket 'tunes'. Fords will likely been encrypted soon as well, but it's really a moot point with the EPA cracking down as they are on tuners. Pretty much intakes and cat-back exhausts are all that will be available. But, if you are talking about just the engine, there is almost no end to what's available for the LS/LT. The 6.6L is basically a 6.2L LT with a forged stroker crank and an iron block, so anything for a 6.2L will very likely work on a 6.6L (waiting for someone to stick an LT-5 blower on one). These engines will be very popular crate engines, and GM wasted no time in getting them in their performance catalog. The 7.3L is kind of a 'wait and see' at this point.
I understand as a crate the sky's the limit. Just another LS!
