1994 F150 Headlights Flashing When Parked

I have a 1994 F150 XLT with factory keyless entry, no modifications or aftermarket stuff. Lately I have noticed my headlights flashing while the truck is parked, sometimes even the next day after it's parked! The headlights flash for a few minutes as if on a timer, then stop. Eventually they may do it again. Where do I start? Keyless entry module? Headlight switch? Any ideas? Does this have anything to do with the door ajar switches?

Aftermarket alarm or maybe even factory alarm?

if the flashing is in a cadence, like an alarm. im voting something related to RKE feedback or an alarm function.

If its not in cadence, Id say turn signal switch or headlight electrical issues(wiring, wear, etc)

Your headlight switch is probably melted where the harness connects . Common problem.

Since the switch is hot all the time, it can do it while the truck is off.

Do you think it would be random most likely, and not in a cadence or rhythm

Heats up, cools off. I'd pull the panel & look at it first.

It is not random. Almost like an alarm. I have a new headlight switch on the way.

Yes, I took a pic of it. I have replaced the headlight switch and saw no evidence of burning, melting, or any problem. It looked almost as clean as the new one.

I do not believe the RKE module has anything to do with the headlamp operation. On the other hand the anti-theft module does.

I thought they were the same and/or the RKE module transferred a signal to the anti theft to operate the lamps etc

RKE is Remote Keyless Entry. It has no physical connection to the headlamp/fog lamp circuit. There are a few signals between the two boxes but I cannot locate where the RKE would be controlling the headlamps. The Anti-Theft module is a completely different box and functionality.
