Weeding Wires for a Swap..
I'm starting with a 98 Mountaineer, 5.0...
I want to weed the wiring so I can hook it up on the floor,
and start it without a vehicle attached.
When done it will be mated to a 5 speed manual and transfer case from a 98 F150,
Then that will be dropped into my 09 Jeep JK replacing the weak worthless mini-van motor.
The weak problematic 6 speed manual...
I'd like to be able to drop it into the Jeep and mostly just have to hood up minimal wiring,
12v positive, Ground, Fuel pump relay, and if they're compatible, or use the Chrysler temp unit,
Speedometer is questionable if will ever make Ford work because I know Ford swapped to
a VSS on the rear axle 96 or so.
Anyway, big project ahead, does anyone know of a write up or tutorial on weeding the engine
and OBDII for stand alone.
