of course I know the answer is yes because I only have 6 of them.
my neighbor just called me she wants to sell her 2002 F250 lariat, 250,000 miles, garage kept, repainted professionally about 6 years ago, always maintained, first by strictly diesel the by me for the last 6 years, interior redone 6 years ago including leather seats.
She is having medical issues and will never need it again, doesn't want to think that the next owner won't treat it as nice so she wants me to buy it.
her first price is $10,000.00
I'd be divorced.... glad its a long way from me...
right! not like a new 1911, leave it in the office a few months, move it to one of the trucks for a few months, move it into the house and bam! what is that? when did you get that? why do you need that? "me" I have had that for a long time. it's NOT new!

ah yes, the old make the new old scheme. Very effective indeed.
First thing is, do you want it? You can justify anything after that.
tempted I am.
in 2018 my daughter got ran off the road by a semi changing lanes, I knew my neighbor had talked about getting rid of one of her xterra's so I called her. she was going to call me the same day to move the car from one house to the other and needed a ride. on the way to her other house she said she was putting it on craigslist for $5,500.00, low market value at the time. I texted my wife and while waiting for her opinion I helped my neighbor get some stuff done at her second house then went home, she called me about an hour later and said $4,000.00. I told her I was waiting to hear from my wife. about another hour later she drove in my drive way with the xterra and said how about $3,200.00. I went in to my office and pulled cash out of my safe and she walked home.

true, but also just bought a 2022 grand design solitude, that will eat up some cash! and yesterday signed up for CDL class at a mere $4,600.00 WTF! new government regulations.
Sounds like the seller is giving you some time to think and sleep on it. That us to your advantage.
Do you have the space to park it? Do you have the desire to insure and register it?
As mentioned above, you don't need it, but do you want it?
We only get one shot at this life and tomorrow is not guaranteed. Just be confident your decision is OK with your better half.
I have plenty of time to decide, unless something happens
our 2 homes are on 2.6 acre lots, connected so plenty of parking room.
license and insurance would only be a few hundred dollars per year.
I would like to have it, it would be a good investment but I wouldn't even think of selling as long as she is still alive.
as for my wife, yeah a $10,000.00 deal is something I will discuss with her rather than just pull the cash and buy it. That is one of the reasons we celebrated 32 year of marriage this month.
I must be a slacker. I only have one Super Duty. I have 3 total 7.3s though but two are in buses. I’m converting one to an rv and the other is for parts. My wife would divorce me if I bought another I think… We’ve only been married five years. I’d like to make it to double digits and a few decades beyond!
It makes sense for you to buy it though since you know it’s history, as long as it would bring you joy and you have the excess cash and as mentioned the wife is on board. Pics?
If you don’t take it hook up somebody deserving a break like JYL123, he just got his truck totaled in a recent post. At least you know it would have a good home…
Sunday I was in Yuma and she texted me and we came to an agreement. Today, this week! I am in Flagstaff, she delivered the truck and my wife gave her the money, so I now own another one.
pics soon.
