Ok here is my problem...I just instaled a K&N intake...just as soon as I put the thing in, I noticed a strange sound almost like a humming noise comeing from the truck when I was driving it...I think it is linked to the transmission because I was low on tranny fluid....but after I filled up on fluid it keeps happining. It happens at random...so I can't figure out what it could be, and I do not think is has to do eith the intake. I just wanted to know if anyone could give me a direction to look in to find out what the problem could be because I am clue-less. Thanks everyone!!
HMMM, It isn't the IAC making noise is it? It may not have been noticable before.
You might try puting the stock air intake back on and see if the noise goes away.

If it occured at the same time as the intake, then I would most definitley say that its the intake. Put the stock back on and see if the noise goes away. Since you don't have the mufflers in the intake that the factory put there, you will hear more of the intake noises.
Ok one thing that I forgot....I did remove something...it was the air bypass and crankcase vent box (that little black box roght of the Throttle body. I replaced it with a hose....I was told that this would do nothing...could this be the problem??? Thanks again!!
