My bet is if it’s anything but a ford part and installed by them they will try and void warrenty in anything to do with this , battery not charging, alternator issues or something battery related they will, because it’s easier to say no. Even if it’s a better quality part than stock.
Then again I’m a plan for the worst hope for the best type.
Will those things be replacing the factory cable terminals? The only way I can see there being a warranty issue was if those terminals, or something wired to them can realistically be blamed for an electrical concern. Chances are slim I would think.
Depending on which dealer you visit
Warranty is easy to void or easy to uphold
The dealer does not have to say you have all kinds of mods and just fix the truck
We got in some trouble back in the day for using warranty to fix exploded transfer cases and transmissions on the PowerStrokes
They had been putting propane kits on them and doubling the torque
We fixed them all until Ford sent the bulletin to not warranty those
Just be real nice to the selling dealer tech guts and tell them your mods have nothing to do with any trouble you are having
Works unless you have a chip and the light is on
So it comes down to whether or not the aftermarket component caused the failure that you're looking to have replaced under warranty...which is sometimes subjective.
For instance, since these are going to replace the stock terminals, and they're kind of a main component of the electrical system, if you have ANY electrical issues that can be traced back to the battery whatsoever, there's a possibility that the warranty claim will be denied, either directly by the dealership OR, if they have to call in a Rep, by the Rep. Even if simply replacing these SHOULDN'T cause the issue, because it COULD be caused by these would lead to the denial.
I've seen some denials because of some bogus ideas, just to get out of paying a warranty claim.
Just have to remember there is a battery management system that is part of the clamps on the battery. If you don't install it correctly, it can cause failures of the system and yes, that could potentially void the warranty.
What are you adding that you need those or just trying to reinvent the wheel?
I want to add an inverter for emergency charging of my BLUETTI AC200 Max battery for those rainy/cloudy days when the solar panels don’t put out enough power. I was hoping to add a quick connect/disconnect. The built in inverter doesn’t put out enough power. Guess I’ll just have to stick with the battery clips.
