Hotter spark plugs?

HI I have an 84 Ranger with the 2.3 I'm looking for a hotter spark plug stock calls for a Autolte APP5144 I'm wanting a little hotter plug.. I've tried looking for a APP5145 but no one carries it.. am I wrong with the number for a hotter plug.. if so what should I be looking for?

I do not know if APP5145 is the proper choice, but they are available at Amazon for $7 each.
