Hey guys I just purchased a truck And I’m trying to figure out what I got! I was told it’s a 1953 f250 but all the pics online say it’s an f100 this is the vin F25R3P11948 and here’s a pic any help would be great
The data plate info says it is an F250.
F25 = F250
R = 8 cylinder
3 = 1953
P = the assembly plant, which I don't know without getting up out of bed and looking in a book but I don't feel like it now!
Good luck and welcome to FTE the best Ford truck Forum on the World Wide Web!
You do have a Deluxe Cab. See the "teeth" in the grille? And the extra holes in the hood held a "boomerang" the surrounded the F250 emblem.

Easy way to figure out F250 how many lug nuts are on your wheels. F100s only had 5.
Just a FYI there is a whole lot more to a custom cab than the teeth and the boomerangs. More trim inside and outside the cab are some notable indicators. Has it got a V8 or straight 6? If it's an 8 is it the original Flathead?

It has the stainless division bars but does not have the stainless trim on the drip rail... Or didn't 1953 Deluxe Cabs have that? In 53 and 54 they were called Deluxe Cabs. The name Custom Cab was not used until 1955.

53 Deluxe Cabs did have the stainless trim on the drip rail. My brother's 53 F600 had it and so does the 53 pictured here.
