Question BFG Mud KM3 or Toyo MT?

I was wondering which one is better on our heavy duty Fords as far as balancing and on-road driving or if you recommend a different MT over those two options. I'm looking at putting 285/75/16 on my factory Alcoa rims. I would appreciate the advice. Thank you.

Got a 2019 F350 XL edition and are running 35" x 12.5" x 18" Toyo MT's on Method NV305HD wheels.
Always used to be a BFG guy but went to Toyo about 10 years ago. Had Toyo AT's on my previous rig.
They work in the soft stuff to just gotta air them down to 30psi or so.

Recent personal experience: Skip the M/T if you're not going off road. I put Cooper Evolution M/T on my truck last January when it was new, only 400 miles on it. Bad move. Annoying growl at low speed and howl at highway speeds.
After 6700 miles I ditched them for Mickey Thomson Baja Boss. They're an A/T with better road manners and much quieter than the Cooper M/T was.

These don’t come with 16s. Those tires aren’t rated for the wheel width and look like balloons on duallies. You have to run spacers.

You could run a 255/80/17 if you have 17s. BFG KM2 and Cooper ST Maxx is 2 options I have seen people run. They fit the wheel and look normal. Between 33-33.5” tall.

I think they have a 255/85/16 as well out there.

Probably best to sell the stockers and change wheels if you want to go Big.

I just looked at his signature and it shows a 1997. Wonder if this was an accidental post in the wrong forum?

Not exactly on topic but I've been partial to the Toyo AT3s for 3 sets of tires now. Low noise, no slip in wet conditions, great GVWR, and great off road performance.

I don't know what kind of prices y'all are seeing but what's happening in the market is just ridiculous. I just bought a new set a week ago for $1800 at 4 Wheel Parts including warranties. Two years (45,000 miles ago) I bought the exact same tire for under $1300 installed with warranties. This ain't sustainable.

All the KM3’s I’ve looked at have a fairly low load rating. I would love to try them out but just don’t think it’s a smart idea.

The Toyo MT’s, you can find with E and F load ratings in 35” and 36” sizes and D load rating in a 38” tire. They are the tried and true mt for a 3/4 to 1 ton truck that sees towing and off road use. They are about a 20+ year old design at this point

Put 80,000 miles on two sets of Toyo Open Country M/T’s 285/75/16’s on a 2004 Silverado K2500. Best M/T’s tires I’ve had. Only problem is they are expensive and hard to get in certain sizes. I’m going to try General Grabber X3 on my new truck in a 295/70/18 because they are less expensive and easier to find.

I picked up my latest set of Toyo's a little over a year ago and I think I dropped about 3 bills apiece for them. Just checked d Discount tire and there running over $500 each!
Gonna make these last until this insanity subsides, like that's gonna happen anytime soon.
Oh well you can't take it with ya.
