Goodbye and Hello again
I still prefer the 10 speed over the 6 speed because my 2014 suffered from the lead frame issue. That would really make your butt pucker when you would get up to 45 mph and it would drop down to 1st gear literally locking up the rear wheels.
I have had complete failure on 2 out of the four. 1 was on a 18 Raptor and it shifted from 9th to 1st unexpectedly at 80 mph alsmost causing me to flip the truck over trying to regain control. The second one that failed literally started skippin from 1 to 5 then back to 1 30 seconds latet there was no drive .
Some are clunky because the transmission simply needs reset, but of the various F150 things I follow, rarely does the original owner have issues, seems the used 'on lease' have a much higher failure rate, and that's no surprise based off what many that lease tow behind them, it's insane. I'm certainly not defending Ford, but GM has it's woes, I wouldn't own a Ram, and Toyo is about 15 years behind with technology. So it all boils down to the coin flip, lesser of the potential evils, and a prayer.
