Of course, wife is supposed to drive the truck to the cabin this weekend. Today the speedometer doesn’t work which of course means the cruise is not gonna work. Not good for me, haha.
Odometer digits are on but odometer doesn’t move. All other gauges work .
Truck drives fine.
Any suggestions as to what I could check before I go to work is much appreciated.
Its a 95 F250 7.3 manual.
I have the same issue. On mine the abs light came on too. A quick look told me what was wrong. On mine, the vss wiring got smashed between the sway bar and the axle housing.
The psom is also a good possibility like you mentioned.
Update. I sent the cluster to Modulemechanics.com and they fixed the PSOM $139 plus shipping.
Works great as does the cruise. They said they could adjust milage but it many vary by 900 miles so I opted out of that. Having done two round trips to the cabin with the odo not working I know the truck has 1000 miles more than indicated, I can live with that.
I took some time to glue and reinforce some brittle parts on the cluster surround as well as clean everything throughly.
Anyway I’m happy with it and recommend MM for their work and quick turnaround.
