It came in an AMD box (Auto Metal Direct) and was shipped from Auto Krafters warehouse in VA.
The Auto Krafters description was "Bright Anodized Steel".
The AMD description was Anodized Aluminum and the price on AMD web site was $749.99.
It seems very good quality.
Good luck,
Jimmy
I also saw one new for $840 delivered. I need one too, but just can't justify it right now. That one was from a shop down south. It let me put it in my cart, etc. And then I chickened out on the price. I know that isn't real helpful, but they're out there if you look enough.
I would call any place you find it listed online as in stock. I've been running into that lately with parts. Listed as in stock and then I get an update about a week later saying backordered. This isn't news to anyone I'm sure. If I find the link I had to that new one I will PM you. Good luck beating harvest!!!
My '77 grill surround had taken a smack, so I carefully straightened it with wood. Haven't found a better one except new.
I'm looking for a nice grill for a '78 E250, so have been keeping my eye out at our local Pick-n-Pull yards in northern California.
No luck yet on a grill for the E250 and no luck finding a straight '73-77 F-series either. All but 2-yards are 200-miles plus and just about prohibitive in miles and time management.
You may have to buy a parts truck locally to score a Nice Grill.
