Does anyone know where I can get a reasonably priced bed floor?
Thats a $64 question. What bed do you have?? And what price do you consider to be reasonable? If it is a Flareside there is a ton of stuff for them. If it is a wrong bed good luck finding anything.
Bedwood is expensive - pre-made. But the kits save some time.l, If you have a table saw- you’re in business to cut the rabbets and dado’s for the metal strips in a matter of an hour and a half or so. Others here, YouTube, and websites can show dimensions and tricks.
i have resigned myself to constructing wood bed floors for my wavy and compressed wrongbed truck bed. It’s not original but less work than removing the steel bed floor or patching in panels - that won’t align to the corrugated pattern anyhow.
with a little patience, fitting around the wheel tubs can be done to achieve a good fit. Stretching and shrinking corner or angle bed strips to them is a possibility but for my daily drivers - not sure it’s worth it. Have thought about a 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 plastic angle strip that can be heated and formed to the wheel tubs and bed floor too to trim out and seal the gap between the wood bed there and the wheel tubs.
I did my own too ,I put the original thickness in then I pulled it and cut some 2x6s cut those same way for strips and 23 years later still in fine shape, its thick but i can throw stuff in it i do use my truck not for show
