I’m installing the AAW classic update kit in my 65 F100 Custom Cab. When disassembling I didn’t get pictures of what was connected to the two post I circled in the image. What connects to these posts? Anything?
I see what I think of as the one ground wire (black) that the 1965/66 plastic Custom Cab bezel used just above the CVR. The metal Standard Cab bezel grounded through the bezel itself.
As others mentioned, believe those two studs are only for the wiring brackets, no grounds. I just took the dash out of my very original '66 F100 4x4 CustomCab, and there was no wires on those studs, only the metal brackets. Additionally, the '66 wiring diagram doesn't show those studs being used for grounding.
Cheers, Brent
I'm in process of re wiring the rats nest the PO did to the dash in mine it appears there is parts missing inside that that the PO either robbed or lost . I got it back together and the high beam and turn indicators as well as the ALT and OIL lights illuminate the gauges a bit when they are on . Are there supposed to be some type of type to isolate those lights to the respective lens on the face plate ? This dash is becoming my worse nightmare ! Also is there supposed to be some type of gasket between the back panel , face plate , and clear lens ?
