Has anyone installed a ABS headliner from RodDoors? I watched the video the shows them installing one in a 53 F-100. My 54 rear window looks different than their 53 as my window is
recessed in the metal frame that is part of the rear wall. Plus there is a metal frame that runs front to rear below my roof and attaches to the rear window frame with a open space for the light and switch.
Is this the same setup on the 53, 55, and 56 F-100? I don't see how you can tuck the rear of the headliner into the window weather strip unless it is flat against the cab wall.
It looks like your rear window is in backwards, the glass is installed from inside the truck with the narrow part of seal outside. 53-56 small widow trucks all use the same window and seal.
Yes I can see now how the rubber should be installed. It looks like the paint shop installed the glass from the outside so the rubber is in backwards. .
When I got my truck back from the paint shop the rear rubber looked very strange being so thick on the outside. I didn't think too much about it until I
started looking at headliners and watched the RodDoor video and saw how they tucked the headliner into the rubber above the window.
I guess the paint shop didn't read the instructions. Thanks for the info. Now, back to the shop.
