AIS systems are backordered everywhere I check including the dealer and no one has any idea when to see more. I bought my truck in February and still can't find one. Anyone got any leads?
I installed the Ford AIS many years ago. Excellent product.
Just pulled up this link. Inet site says available. Call first. I think I paid about $200. when the kit first came out. Quality is remembered long after the cost is forgotten. Link above $439.
I heard that the AIS was discontinued years ago. (may or may not be true but old stock still exists)
I put one of those in, and next trip out, found my filterminder gauge was pulled to the first notch already and that was with a BRAND NEW filter. Went back to the 6637 filter and never looked back. https://www.riffraffdiesel.com/6637-intake/
I realize that my truck's configuration is a little out of the ordinary compared to most of you. F550 with 4.88 rear axle ZF6 4x4. Pulling my 14k 5th wheel, it takes care of business, but needs a LOT of air to get it done.

Im running the 6637 with a brand new filter and fiterminder is at 70%. This is a 21 year old piece so I don’t give it much stock as to the accuracy. Figure it’s due to spring fatigue in the minder. Haven’t been bothered to go buy a new minder.
FWIW running SDK 65tow or 80 daily driver on the Hydra with a WW2 compressor wheel and can see up to 28lbs of boost on a fairly regular basis.
Where are you guys buying your replacement filter elements? I see Amazon has them for $65 free shipping, Motorcraft branded but made in China. Riffraff has them for about $70 plus shipping, does not say where made. Are they all made in China now? I am not interested in the cheaper white ones that were selling for next to nothing, I want the original blue one.

They have the genuine Motorcraft in stock, they are made in Mexico, just got one in the other day. I would be careful of Amazon, there are lots of counterfeit products on there anymore. I think am going to order a couple of extra just in case Motorcraft is changing to China.

A while back Rockauto had a close out sale on the filters, it was enough to make me finally but an AIS kit & as the filters were like $10 each, I bought 10 which should last my lifetime......I'd happily sell a couple but as I'm in the UK the shipping would kill the deal.

I saw those and ordered a couple but canceled it once I realized they were the white ones, which do not have the same long life capabilities of the blue ones plus they were quite old and I read that the concern with old filters is the assembly glue drying out and cracking, resulting in leaks. I live in the desert and I know all about things drying out, it's constant. On the other hand if we want rust we buy it in a can and apply with a brush.
