IPR stuck

HELP!
I'm trying to do the IPR on my 2006 6.0 and I've tried everything to get it off (pipe wrenches, breaker bars, ect) and it won't come loose, I've even put a 12" pipe on the end of my rachet and it still won't come loose.

Any suggestions?!?

3ft long extension resting against the driver side hood hinge, have ratchet outside of the fender. stand beside the truck and put a long pipe on the ratchet handle. Don’t use tools that have sentimental value, this is abuse but I’ve done it two times now.

Are you turning the correct direction? I'd think using all your force you'd have stripped something.

I broke the first socket I purchased for this it was a cheap version off of the internet, then I bought 2 from Advance auto encase it broke again I believe I used a Braker bar with a ball swivel joint. also removed ficm so I could get my delicate hands in the area. I won it gave up and came out made a loud pop sound thought I broke it again but did not. NOTE: all extensions socket ect should be of impact quality

Are all of you folks having to use breaker bars torquing the IPR upon installation?

If so, what torque value?

No not when installing just breaking them loose to remove them then use 3/8 ratchet to re-install.
Always remember Righty Tighty Lefty Loosey, unless it's around 1960 down Plymouth they had as I remember on the left side the lug nuts were left hand thread go figure?

I suggest a torque wrench to re-install then.

You can exceed 37 ft-lbs with a 3/8" ratchet.
