I have a lot of problems with different codes coming up in my car. I keep fixing/replacing parts but nothing is fixing the original stalling problem. I've discovered that someone put a higher then required fuse in the box and also there's a wire that is going from somewhere underneath of the car straight to the fuse itself which I'm pretty sure is not the way it's supposed to be done. That fuse controls fuel pump among couple other things and a lot of my problems suggest some kind of fuel/air issues. I'm not sure how to attach pics but I hope someone here could help me!
Right now I have P0453,P0443,P0232. I would have to see if I get under and can follow it but it seems like it disappears going to the top of fuel tank somewhere. I've replaced ftp as the code suggested, was going to try to test it but it broke at the little neck that screws to the tank, they get very brittle and who knows it was probably original so almost 20 years.I've also replaced houses from the egr solenoid cause turned my hands charcoal just touching them it's a very long story, over time I've replaced: it started with pcv valve then O2 downstream then O2 upstream and what I've mentioned earlier trying to kill the cel. All that I was replacing cause mechanic told me to pulling the codes from the code reader. I just got my own code reader so those very recent repairs I did follow code.I did other repairs on the car but they didn't have anything to do with emission or fuel air mixture. I was trying to avoid writing a whole essey but anyways...the car has been stalling and every time I did something I've thought I'll fix the problem cause I was in scary situations driving like that.I've forgot to mention that spark plugs, coils, wires, fuel filter filter and the gas cap are new trying to solve this issue. I've almost bought a new pump but found that fuse box issue and decided to hold it off just yet but idk anymore cause a lot of treads pointing to failing fp. My main question right now is that wire in that fuse would have something to do with any of it...Even not being electrician I know it's not supposed to be there,I just don't know exactly why someone put it there....I'm guessing higher fuse is due to probably fuse blowing but what's the wire function would be?? and since I have seems like fp problems I've thought that this my be a reason..? I only have this truck for not even a year so don't know it's history. I'm learning all that only now, cause I'm handy and don't have money for mechanic so trying the best I can but I'm almost at the end of the rope trying to fix things one after another and no end of solving the primary issue. I'm a woman 55yo and although had some fun and satisfaction from being able to fix lot of things it's starting driving me crazy not to mention the financial strain just buying parts for this pos😄
