22 F450 alarm triggered twice last night. Ones at 2:30 and again at 4:30. Windows all closed and no sign of anything that may have triggered the motion sensors. Wife is gonna kill me if it wakes her again tonight. Ideas???
What was your weather like? Wind strong enough to rock the truck?
I don't think the factory alarm will go off with any amount of wind. Well, unless it was enough wind to lift it haha. My alarm has never been set off my any external source, winds, rains, thunder, Harley's, bumper bumped by other vehicles...pretty sure you could grab the bed rail and shake the truck without the alarm going off.
I was thinking the higher trims could detect movement of the vehicle, like someone climbing up on a running board or bumping into the truck with a car. Maybe not.

Ford does sell an add on kit that includes a shock sensor that will then trigger the alarm by movement. None of the Super Duty trims come with it. The perimeter alarm monitors the doors, hood, tailgate, and change of inclination as when towed. If you were to jack one end of the truck up while armed it would set it off, but bumping and shaking it does not.

Do you have a part number? I did a quick search and only hit on aftermarket alarms. Thx

I don't have a part#(may vary by year) but they call it Perimeter Plus. There have been posts on here from those who have added it or transferred it from their previous to new truck. I haven't figured out which one is correct for what years or if trim matters.

Is there a way to disable the “inclination” setting? Either through Forscan or dealer?
i have a trailer i use for work, and when my little Honda engine on the trailer is running, it’ll set off the alarm. I’ve narrowed it down to that. I’m guessing the little vibration this causes along with the tongue weight, 8-900lbs is enough to trip the inclination Alarm.
Below are the issues I’m having. The truck is used every single day I don’t have anything hooked up to the power ports that would draw any type of power.
For each alarm, the message on my app said vehicle intrusion was detected. Not sure if that means the motion detectors. It was windy, but I’ve had stronger winds and it didn’t go off. Last night I set it and no problems…… weird….
somebody else on another thread said that it happened to them, it turned out to be some kind of flying insect like moth or fly that was setting of the inside motion detectors!

That is one is the most common reasons that it happens. Mine was a moth. Next somewhat common reason is the hood switch. Setting it to perimeter only helps to determine if it's something on the inside(like a bug) triggering it, or not.

Check for a flying or crawling insect or bug inside of the cab because this is usually the cause of the alarm going off.
