Seen this on the way to Walla Walla, Wa. and had to stop, look & ask ?'s.
I've never seen a 1 ton '71 before.
(I own a '71 F250 CS Ranger XLT and am the 2nd owner. I should sell it..)
Any-hoo, the owner of the F350 was the original buyer and used it in his asparagus growing operations. His operation outgrew this truck and a few others over the years until he retired. He said he wasn't really interested in selling it but I sort of gathered he might if an enthusiast came along with the right amount of cash. He has a lot of iron on the place and a lot of farm equipment so you get the idea.
I didn't pop the hood but did look inside the cab. It's been used. Seats are ragged and floor mats torn/worn. Dashpad is wasted. Radio is gone, just the usual farm truck that was used for work. I believe it had a 360 in it. Also has the T18 tranny.

These trucks really need to be analyzed carefully before making assumptions. I could be a run of the mill F 350 or might not be the run of the mill F 350. Might have a higher speed rear end ratio. Might be a 390. Might have disc front brakes. F 350's came with the NP 435 as standard equipment. The painted western mirrors come with a different mirror head mounting system, they are actually safer than the stainless type when the head is mounted low to avoid blind spots. .
The truck as a whole might be not worth much, but some of the parts on it could be. AFAIK nobody is reproducing the plastic grill inserts... So they along other parts just might be what somebody is looking for.
