Code P1299 2016 F-150

I have a 2016 Ford F-150, 2.7L, Gas. Yestreday the Engine light and Red Coolant light Both lit up. Truck did not want to really go. No prior problems before hand. It is says Code P1299. Overhead cylinder temperature sensor. Parts store says they are 2 sensor. Truck is not over heating, but was a little low on coolant.

Could be anything from low coolant, to a faulty CHT sensor to a sensor harness wiring concern to the PCM.

Start with the obvious issue of low coolant and fix that first.
