Another dpf delete question

So I have had continual problems with emissions related stuff over the past couple years with my 2013 f350. Now the service engine light is on again and Ive just had enough, I know what it will be. Truck has 160,000 miles and I have zero intention of ever selling my baby. I had a 2008 F350 that I deleted just to make it loud and obnoxious but Im older now and am thinking of doing it for completely different reasons. Heres my question: with tree hugging big brother continually cracking down on companies that make these products, who would be the best company to look at that will be around for a while? While googling I come across the mini maxx alot, that seems to have been around for forever. I had spartan before and it was awesome but they got shut down. Any other companies that I could look into? Not looking for anything stupid crazy, just get rid of this headaches causing bank account draining emissions nonsense

I would recommend trying to find someone local you can talk to face to face. With current regulations, finding anyone on the internet who wants to openly talk about it is challenging. Good luck.

Yea thats what I figured but thought it wouldn't hurt to ask. Even threads that are a year old may be useless if fedzilla is continually cracking down. Just hoping to get pointed towards the right company

I am not sure why you are having all these problems with your DEF system. I have had the heater go out and so has everyone else. Ford sent out a letter letting us know they were going to fix some of these issues. I believe they they will replace the heater for free. I couldnt find the thread here but there is one. Are you taking your truck to a dealer or a shop down the street?

dealer, and heater was one thing that went out and I had to pay for that and it wasn't cheap. Always sensors and **** throwing codes and when it does it runs like crap. Trust me, I dont want to drop 2 grand just for ****s and giggles but Ive easily spent that in repairs

One of the things that scares me is that last time the engine light came on I had noticed that it hadn't regen'd in quite a while. Took it in and the said dpf was plugged pretty good (dont know a percentage) so they did a manual regen and it worked fine for a few weeks. Now engine light again and i cant remember the last time it regen'd. Something funky going on

H&S no longer provides support the Mini Maxx so any help will be from random folks on the internet forum/ Facebook groups. For the price of a Mini Maxx, i think you would be better off getting a SCT tuner. Company wise, the most active ones are those in Canada. Proven and CCS have very solid reviews.

That's probably why you are having issues... if the truck doesn't get hot enough, driven long enough and regens are not being finished, then you have issues like you are having. I can't help you but like has been said, you need to find the friend of a friend who knows a local or close enough shop that he or she can introduce you to. Word of mouth and personally as most will not talk to someone over the phone or personally that they do not know for fear of being set up. Good luck.

yea I hear ya. I did check out a Facebook page that was mentioned and did a little research and think I found a solution. I definitely get the driving it long enough to regen part but heres how I look at. Its got 160,000 miles and until 10-15,000 miles ago I never had an issue. Maybe my driving habits have plugged something up since the day I bought it new and if so whatever, Ill fix it and make sure it doesn't give me problems again. Ill never knock Ford for doing what they are forced to do, love this truck and tell my wife I wanna be buried in it lol. Im just not dicking around with new emissions equipment
