Just installed Dynomax cat-back!
HEy guys,
I just installed a dynomax catback on my 03 S'crew. It is the single 3" cat-back, Super Turbo kit, part #17338.
Quality is very good, I have always had excellent luck with Walker/Dynomax.
Sound...
A little louder than stock, a "lower" tone at all rpms. This is probably the kit to get if you like a very quiet exhaust. The net thing about this kit is dynomax makes 3 different mufflers that will interchange...super turbo, welded ultraflow, and stainless ultra-flow.
After I removed the stock cat-back, I started it up...what a nice sound. Sounded very "tuned" with no muffler. I will probably have a piece of 3" pipe fabricated to replace the super turbo muffler.
Overall I'm very pleased, it is just a tad to quiet for me but that can be fixed!
As far as performance, not much of a difference. Although, I got one it and whenever it would shift, the engine belt would slip, making a wierd noise. It never did that before...so maybe it is making a "few" more ponies!
