Will the transfer case from a 1990 f150(I assume a bw1356) be a direct swap for a np208 in a 1986 f150. And would my driveshafts still work? Thank You!
If your 208 has a slip yoke you want a standard truck issue BW1356 no older than 91, your model year limit comes from the need for a mechanical speedometer cable drive which was removed for 92.
If you currently have a fixed-yoke 208 then you'll need either any 1345 case or a Bronco-specific 1356.
So I have a slip yoke 208 now. I found a 1990 f150 with a slip yoke 1356. Just wanted to make sure it would work before going through the trouble of pulling it out.
It will bolt up to the transmission. Make sure you get the shifter with the newer transfer case, they can be different and your old one will not work with the newer transfer case. Your driveshaft length will be a crap shoot, but it may indeed work.

yeah I saw the shifter for the T-case sits on the side of the trans tunnel. So would I need to grab that too?

Yes. You may need to do some floor cutting, or see if the bolt in trans tunnel from the donor will bolt into your floorboard. So look at it, and possibly get the floorboard cover from the donor also.
