Remote Start Installation Help.

Hello,
I have researched a good bit and still am coming up short on some wires I am trying to locate. I have a compustar CSX-4900S kit with drone. My truck is a 2003 with keyless entry, I believe as I have the key fob. The diagram from Compustar is as follows:

Compustar Ignition Harness 8 Pin Harness
(+) 12v Constant - Red - Tied into (+)Yellow wire on Ignition Switch. (Is it ok to tie both 12v Constants into one and then tie it to the Yellow wire on Ignition Switch?)
(+) 12v Light - Green/White - Not sure where this goes?
(+) 12v Constant - Red/White - Tied into (+)Yellow wire on Ignition Switch. (Is it ok to tie both 12v Constants into one and then tie it to the Yellow wire on Ignition Switch?)
(+) 12v Accessory - Tied into (+)Gray/Yellow wire on Ignition Switch.
(+) Selectable by jumper (Default Ignition) - Blue - Don't know where this goes?
(+) 12v Starter - Yellow - Tied into (+)Dark Green wire on Ignition Switch.
(+) 12v Ignition (output/Input) - Green - Tied into (+)White/Yellow wire on Ignition Switch. (Is it possible I may have hooked up the wrong wire and that I need to hook up the R/S Blue wire to the White/Yellow wire on Ignition Switch?)
GND - Black
Compustar Ignition Harness 12 Pin Harness
(-) Parking Light Output (POC#1) - Green/White - Tied into (+)Brown wire on Parking Light Switch. (Is tying the R/S wire into the positive Brown wire ok?)
(-) Lock Output (POC #2) - Blue/Green - Tied into (-)White/Red wire at Kicker Panel (Assuming my truck is Keyless Entry since it has a Keyfob).
(-) Unlock Output (POC #3) - Blue - Tied into (-)Black/White wire at Kicker Panel (Assuming my truck is Keyless Entry since it has a Keyfob).
(-) Status Output (POC #4) - Black - Don't know where this goes?
(-) Rearm Output (POC #5) - Orange - Don't know where this goes?
(-) Disarm Output (POC #6) - Orange/White - Don't know where this goes?
(-) Horn Output (POC #7) - White - Ties into Dark Blue wire at Steering Column Harness.
(-) Hood Pin Input - Gray/Black - Tied into a firewall spare wire into engine bay.
(+) Foot Brake Input - Light Blue/White - Tied into (+)Light Green wire on Brake Switch.
(-) Triger Starter Input - Red/White - Don't know where this goes?
(+) Trigger Starter Input - Red - Don't know where this goes?
Tach/Alt Sensing Input - Yellow/Black - Either I tie this into Green/White wire on 5 pin connector behind Parking Brake or use spare wire and tie into Ignition Coil in engine bay.

I went by this guide https://www.modifiedlife.com/2003-fo...remote-starter as well as this guide from http://www.bulldogsecurity.com/bdnew...gdiagrams.aspx

I'm sure that you'll find some help here on FTE, but this has been a good source as well.

Thanks! I have also checked there as well. I guess I am not understanding Compustar's lingo with some wire locations. For example rearm/disarm and trigger starter (-) and (+).

I will have to take a closer look at the manual for your Compustar to see if your connections above make sense. A word of warning first: On any output from the Compustar to vehicle wiring, figure out where to put a diode to prevent backfeeding any of the vehicle’s electronic modules. If you do not, weird behavior or damage to electronic modules could ensue.

Tagging because I'm in the same boat with a compustar DC-3.
I only went this route for the 3-mile 2 way remote option, I'm more security interested than the remote start.
What I have learned along the way, computstar has no clue what the wiring in a 2001 7.3 is. Out of the 24 wires, their "guide" says to use, only 3 of the ford wire colors match what's in my rig.
Compustar/firstech will do nothing to assist if you are not a registered dealer.
I picked up the Ford wiring diagram on eBay years ago, and with that I've been working through it along with the bulldog chart you've already seen. I've got it working with the locks
and I left off at tying the keypad into the arm/disarm.
I've got a transmission to do before I get back into the wiring.

Forgot to update this thread. I ended up finishing and it really wasn't that bad. Spent more time researching. Below are the wires I ended up using and not using. Wires I used are in bold.

Compustar Ignition Harness 8 Pin Harness
(+) 12v Constant - Red - Tied into (+)YellowX1 wire on Ignition Switch.
(+) 12v Light - Green/White - Tied into Brown Parking Light wire (headlight switch).
(+) 12v Constant - Red/White - Tied into (+)YellowX2 wire on Ignition Switch.
(+) 12v Accessory - Tied into (+)Gray/Yellow wire on Ignition Switch.

(+) Selectable by jumper (Default Ignition) - Blue - Don't know where this goes?
(+) 12v Starter - Yellow - Tied into (+)Dark Green wire on Ignition Switch.
(+) 12v Ignition (output/Input) - Green - Tied into (+)White/Yellow wire on Ignition Switch.

GND - Black - Tied on ground dash chassis under dash towards the center.

Compustar 12 Pin Harness
(-) Parking Light Output (POC#1) - Green/White - Tied into Light Blue/Black wire on driver kicker panel. (This may be a wire I don't even need. Any help here?)
(-) Lock Output (POC #2) - Blue/Green - Tied into (-)White/Red wire at Kicker Panel.
(-) Unlock Output (POC #3) - Blue - Tied into (-)Black/White wire at Kicker Panel.

(-) Status Output (POC #4) - Black - Don't know where this goes?
(-) Rearm Output (POC #5) - Orange - Don't know where this goes?
(-) Disarm Output (POC #6) - Orange/White - Don't know where this goes?
(-) Horn Output (POC #7) - White - Tied into Dark Blue wire at Steering Column Harness.
(-) Hood Pin Input - Gray/Black - Goes through firewall spare wire into engine bay. (DID NOT USE)
(+) Foot Brake Input - Light Blue/White - Tied into (+)Light Green wire on Brake Switch.
(-) Trigger Starter Input - Red/White - Don't know where this goes?
(+) Trigger Starter Input - Red - Don't know where this goes?
Tach/Alt Sensing Input - Yellow/Black - Tied into green/white wire behind parking brake. (when I tested this wire it was 12v when truck was running which was strange. Researching says this should only be 1v to 6v, but ended up still working for the R/S).

Now I had to program some stuff on the R/S which took a bit and got a little frustrating. I changed my runtime timer to 25 min from 15 min. I changed my diesel timer (wait for glow plugs/wait to start) to 7 seconds which is more than enough time here in Houston year round. I had to change my engine start to Tach reading. Default is Tachless. Prior to changing it the truck would try to start. Stop. Start up and run for a few seconds then shutoff. Did this one more time before it told me starting error.

I did not need to add any diodes. I will keep that in mind. I also posted an updated reply above this post.

What year is your truck? I have a factory alarm on mine that does not have the door keypad. Tying into the Locks and Horn was all I needed.

Mines a 2001 7.3 excursion. The compustar guide, for example, looks almost identical to yours, Dark green for starter, but on my ex it's Red/light blue for the starter.
I think the only colors that are right so far are the yellow +12v and the brake switch. I've gotten more progress out of other brands wiring diagrams than compustar.
For the door keypad, the problem I'm having is that pressing a button turns on the dome lights, but the dome lights are the door open trigger for the alarm. So I am trying to work around for both
door switches and getting a disarm signal from the keypad entry.
It looks like I'll have to tap into the gem to go from keypad unlock->analog disarm, and pick up the door open switches at the gem before it goes out to the dome lights.
