In my galaxie there’s a 351 Cleveland and I was wondering what temp it should be running at? It was hotter today and I noticed the car was running hotter as a result of it. Below is my temp gauge and the temp. It went a bit over that line with the dots behind it. I’m thinking that’s around 210 degrees or so? Should I worry?
Personally, I wouldn't worry about it, on hot days my old trucks run hotter, specially after climbing a hill, but then usually settle back down, and yes they do run a tad hotter on the hot days.

I figured as much but it was only low 80s today so I can’t imagine what it’d be like when it gets to be true summer weather. I read 220 is about the limit on these things temp wise ? That sound about right
Clevelands require a different shaped thermostat than other engines. There should be a “bell” suspended from the thermostat that goes into the hole in the block.

And the Clevelands use a pressed in insert in the block that works with the thermostat, it's often made of brass, make sure it's there below the thermostat as it helps to control bypass ("bypass" means bypassing the radiator, just getting circulated throuigh the engine "bypassing the radiator").
Assuming the gauge to be accurate, that temperature shown is not anything to be worried about. But we haven't yet gotten to the highest temperatures for summer. This would be a good time to check that all components are working as they should.

It was 87 today and it didn’t go over 200 (I was even a little low on oil) so I think it’s ok. I’m still stress testing it however
