FW tire choice

I have Power King TowMax 235/85Rx16 LRE tires on my FW that are 3 years old. I am considering 4 new Michelin xps rib 235/85r16 tires as replacements. Good choice or are there others I should consider?

I used the Michelin xps rib on my previous Cameo and they held up nicely, even had them on the present Cameo but because of weight upgraded to Sailun S637.

At this time, the Goodyear Endurance and Sailun S637 are the only tires I would consider for my trailer. We have ~20,000 miles on our Goodyear Endurance over all sorts of surfaces, paved and not paved and they have done very well by us.

Same here, we swapped up to the Sailuns on our TT after 2 of the factory china bombs failed at 2.5 years old. The Endurance tires were just then becoming available.

Love my Saliuns S637. What a huge difference they made towing when it’s windy.

I can't find Sailuns for 15" wheels, so the Endurance will likely be my next tires. I've been running the Discount Tire in-house brand for about 10K miles. They've worn very well. I had to replace two of them last year due to tread separation on one and chunks missing out of the other. I'm not convinced that the tires were at fault. I had a rough time on that trip that likely put a significant amount of stress on the trailer tires.

I am on my second set of endurance. First set lasted 21K miles.

Right around that time I lost a couple of them due to road hazards. No issues with loosing them or breaking apart or blowing up like China bombs.

We are running 17.5 H Salins that replaced GY G114 tires. After my luck with the GY G614 and now GY6114 have a hard time parting with my money to buy GY. The Sailins are holding up great at half the price.

The Endurance only came (I believe they have been discontinued) in load range E. I would use the Goodyear G614 or the Sailun S637 load range G (which is what we have on our fiver).

I don't think the Endurance has been discontinued. They're still on the Goodyear website. There are other Goodyear tires that have been discontinued. They had a prior model that was not very reliable.

Rob, as others have said, the Goodyear Endurance tires are still being made and are available at brick and mortar shops or online vendors like Discount Tire Direct.

Regarding the load range, the customer/tire purchaser should be aware of what load range they land squarely in for their application. If a load range E tire works for them, then they have more choices available to them. If a load range G tire is what they need, then they should stick with a manufacturer that offers load range G tires.

Exact same tire we have on our Pinnacle. We have roughly 10k on them.

We just put 7000 miles on Goodyear Endurance tires on our 5th wheel. I like the tires, although I have a slow leak on 1 tire over the last 1000 miles that I have not had a chance to check out yet.
