I love LineX...it's the gold standard as far as I'm concerned. I know people who think the same of Rhino Liners. Other brands entering the market, even DIY stuff, could be just as good...I just have no experience with them. But as always, prep work is what makes or breaks the product the majority of the time.
Whatever you go with, do get the UV protector unless you want it fading to gray.
Do you have plans for a bed cover? The UV protection on the Line-X makes it very glossy which I don't care for. I'm not familiar with the other product you mentioned so I can't provide any feedback to that.
So I just got a bullet liner on my 22 yesterday also had one on my 17 I never had any trouble with it and even on the 17 I’ve spilled oil, fuel exct and it all looks just like new after a pressure wash. I like that it’s a little more grippy and not so hard plastic feeling like some others. The only thing that happened to the bullet on the old truck is my snowmobile chipped a very small spot on it where the edge of the tailgate is but that’s to be expected. I feel like any bed liner would not hold up to a snowmobile carbide. So I got it again on the 22. The place that put it in taped everything off perfect around the fifth wheel prep and box lighting and box link. They sprayed over the front lip too. I would 10/10 recommend the bullet. It was $549 for a 8’ bed in upstate NY.
When I went over to finalize the deal on my truck the salesman asked me about a bed liner and I had found a truck shop in Houston that did them for $300, he told me he would match the price if I paid cash, so I jumped on that to save me the hassle of having to take my truck somewhere else to get it done.
So far I've been perfectly satisfied with it, it looks just as good as any others I've seen.
I have no idea what brand liner product they use.
I do have a tonneau cover, and I don't load a lot of loose junk in the bed, so I figure a $300 liner should last me as long as I keep the truck.
I have Rhino in my 2003 F150 and LineX in my 2004 Dodge, both trucks had the liners installed when new. The Dodge was handed down from my father-in-law. Both received weekend warrior type abuse and both are holding up well.
Had bullet liner sprayed on Friday, really impressed with the texture and looks of it. Had line-x on previous truck and had no problems with it. Time will tell if bullet liner holds up as good.
