Posted this on the diesel section as well but hoping for more visibility.
My 2012 6.7 threw the P0402 code today and from researching it seems the most likely culprit is the Dpfe sensor. I have one on order but can’t seem to locate on my truck to swap it out.
The 6.7 does not have a DPFE sensor. It needs to be properly diagnosed, not just have parts thrown at it. It will get very expensive very fast if you do.

it was diagnosed by a mechanic who stated the Dpfe tested bad. He gave me this part number and stated it was easy to replace.
As already stated a by above, a 6.7L diesel does NOT have a DPFE sensor. It has DPFP and EBP sensors, neither of which would have anything to do with EGR flow. An EGR flow excessive trouble code set can be caused by numerous concerns, too numerous to simply mention in a forum. The cause needs to be diagnosed.
