Taxi duty accomplished..... caught up on emails..... Time for a little FTE time....
Nice morning in Montana..... sunny and blue skies..... 47°F and headed toward 64°F...... winds at 10 - 15 mph....
Fantastic day to get to work on the TT..... I am scheduled to work at Home Depot today at 1530 - 2100 hrs..... Nice shift.
I am getting close to the rebuild phase on the TT. Got most of the rotted wood removed and rubber seals removed.
I am still debating with myself about the beam (11 ft) that goes across the top of the slide out opening.. Laminated plywood that is in good shape. I am considering to mate it up with a 11 ft length of 3" angle alum.
1/4 thick.
I had to finally tell Penny to quit volunteering me to do things. I'm a big boy and can make those decisions for myself ! It was getting so I almost went back to getting paid work .

Lynn was at school........ I was without any adult supervision.....
I went to town and got a piece of alum angle material to beef up the 11 ft wood beam that goes across the top of the slide out opening.....
Good morning and enjoy a great day Cowboys and Patriots.....
Not a good night..... not much sleep. Too much pain happening.... Just enough to keep me awake. Only got maybe 3 hours of sleep.
Oh well.... I will live
Taxi duty completed. HD shift coming up soon..... Noon - 1800 hrs today.
Yesterday afternoon before going to work at Home Depot, I stopped by Steel etc. Purchased a 11 ft length of alum angle iron..... 3" x 3" X 1/4 thick. I really need 3" x 1 1/2". I will have to cut one side of the angle alum down to 1.5" That will be fun..... The current wood beam is 1 1/2" x 3" and there is only room for that size, I'll dado 1/4" into the wood beam so with the alum and wooden beam together, I'll keep the 1 1/2" x 3" size. $100. for the hunk of alum. I would do it if it was my TT, so I decided to go overboard..... Going to take some effort and time to make the new beam, but it will be worth it.
Don't think I'll get anything done on the TT this morning..... have to leave the house at 1130 hrs for HD.
Morning Sailor ! Hope you had a good day yesterday at work. I' sure that the owner of that TT will appreciate your handywork ! Also hope you are getting reimbursed at least for parts ! Have a fine day today......
Good morning Gents......
Another day has arrived with some wind and clouds....... Fingers crossed for no rain. Need to get some work done on the TT before work at HD today...... 1300 - 2100 hrs
Going to be a long day....
52°F headed to 67°F..... 15+ mph winds.......
