Hello all, moving ahead on our father son project truck (94 f150 5.8L 4x4) I was glad to find a compatible injector harness and have that all hooked up and tied in. My next step is to be sure I have all of the appropriate grounds completed. Here is what I have so far….. am I missing any?
1) main ground from battery bolts to frame and smaller connection to core support. End of this wire goes to??? Starter? Block??
2) small ground wire from ECM that attaches to metal bracket that the fender bolts to
3) ground wire from back bolt of manifold (drivers side) which attaches to the firewall.
missing any? Does engine need a ground to the frame too besides the firewall? Does the cab need a ground to the frame?
as always, I appreciate any help that you can share. Many on here have been a huge help with this project and I would be lost without their help!!
There are grounds from the hood to the body, grounds on the engine block for the starter and batter, grounds for everything else in various location. Coil should be grounded to engine. No need for a wire from cab to frame, engine to frame, as they are bolted together.
awesome very helpful. Thanks!! On a seperate note, I also wanted to ask does the PCV valve in the passenger valve cover get hooked up to vacuum from the manifold? It has a vacuum connector on it just above the valve…….. it looks like it does on the vacuum diagram?? Thanks again
Yes the PCV valve is hooked up to manifold vacuum. There was a bulletin (TSB) issued to move the vacuum line from the back of the upper intake to the center vacuum tree. Then move the power brake booster line to the back of the upper intake. So short version is swap the PCV and booster locations.

Randy is that exclusive to any engine or model years? TIA

im not sure the ports in the manifold will support the other hose for the brake booster?? Looks to be quite a bit smaller in diameter. I currently have MAP going to the back outlet
